Alti-Fit Training was established in March 2007 after it was identified that there was a significant lack of understanding about high-altitude conditions (above 2500m) among fitness trainers. This came about after returning from a successful summit attempt on Ama Dablam (6856m) in Everest Khumbu Area.
I was also inspired by close friend and personal trainer extraordinaire, Tommy Cochrane. After gathering research from Australia, Canada, South America and the Himalayas, I have developed the Hy-pox Training System.
Some of the benefits of this training system are:
- Increased Vo2 Max (Maximum Rate of Oxygen Consumption)
- Improved strength and endurance
